Cloudy skies will give way to sunshine, mild temps

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The skies were still a bit cloudy Tuesday morning, but the Charlotte area will be gaining some sunshine this afternoon, bringing the highs into the upper 60s.

It looks like we may not be done with the rain this week. One more rain chance will try to sneak in Wednesday afternoon with a weak disturbance. The best chance for precipitation will be for the mountains.

The rain event will not be like Monday's though -- mainly just light showers.

The forecast become brighter and warmer heading towards the weekend. High temperatures will jump to the upper 70s by Saturday.

If you are lucky enough to head to the Knights home opener on Friday night, the weather is perfect -- clear and in the 70s.
