CONCORD, N.C. — NASCAR driver Ryan Newman had a serious wreck Monday night at the end of the Daytona 500.
His car was seen sliding, then flipping into the air before landing on top of No. 32 Corey LaJoie’s car.
“I didn’t even know who I hit or where I hit them,” LaJoie said.
Newman was taken to an area hospital and the next day, his racing team said he was awake and talking.
