Fair weather skies not to last for long as cold blast, rain on the way

The weather will remain very quiet through Monday and the Channel 9 Severe Weather Center will be tracking rain for Tuesday followed by another cold blast.

Before it's all said and done, there's a small chance there will be a few snowflakes in the mountains.

Clear skies and temperatures in the 30s are in store for Sunday night and there will be plenty of sunshine through Monday along with mild temperatures in the upper 50s.

After Monday, the area will be hit by a one-two punch of cold weather with showers early Tuesday and the clouds will hang around into Wednesday.
