Favorable weather conditions arrive in the area

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Fantastic weather is rolling into Charlotte as Hurricane Arthur moves onto the Canadian Maritimes.

Arthur remains a hurricane but will likely be downgraded to a normal storm by Friday night.

As Arthur moves up the coast, it will continue to bring the Charlotte area dry air.

This will allow for great weather for fireworks and a comfortable start on Saturday with temperatures in the upper 50s.

There will be a great weekend ahead with plenty of sunshine and not a lot of heat.

High temperatures are expected to be around 86 degrees with little humidity.

Heat takes the center stage again later next week with high temperatures in the 90s and little threat of rain.
