Rain on the way: The next weather-maker arrives late Friday afternoon and that rain will last well into Friday night. After a quick half inch of rain, drier weather returns to start the weekend.

Weekend plans: Temperatures will remain in the 50s through Saturday before another cold snap arrives on Sunday. Temps fall to the 40s for the Panthers game with partly cloudy skies. One model still shows some very light snow on Sunday morning, but every other model is dry, so it looks like nothing to get too excited about.
