FORECAST: Temps rise ahead of weekend rain chance

Still chilly: Conditions were not nearly as cold around Charlotte Thursday morning, with temperatures in the 30s in most neighborhoods. The clouds that came in Wednesday night are keeping those temps up.

Warming up: Even with the cloud cover, temperatures will still warm up by the afternoon with highs returning to average for this time of year, around 50 degrees.

Rain chances: The next storm system will arrive on Friday, but it will not bring much rain with it. A better rain chance is likely to come in on Saturday night. Most of the daylight hours for our weekend look to stay dry, with temps closer to 60 degress.
