The final count is in!!!

The ninth year of WSOC-TV Channel 9’s  “Steve’s Coats for Kids” was a huge success!  The annual coat drive resulted in donations of 12,200 coats during a 9-day period.  All coats were collected and given to Crisis Assistance Ministry for immediate distribution to those in need.  More than 5,000 coats were collected on Tuesday, January 15th during the “Channel 9 Collection Day.“

Steve’s Coats for Kids started nine years ago as a Channel 9 labor of love brought together through partnerships with Crisis Assistance Ministry and the Charlotte Fire Department. Chief Meteorologist Steve Udelson and the team at Channel 9 want to thank everyone in the Charlotte area for donating, volunteering and making this year's campaign one of our best years to date.
