CHESTERFIELD COUNTY — Jury selection is expected to start Monday in the corruption trial for the former Chesterfield County sheriff.
Sam Parker is accused of abusing his power and giving jail inmates special privileges if they worked on his property.
Investigators also say he gave department-seized guns away to friends, and allowed some friends to carry badges without training.
Each of Parker's charges carry a possible sentence of 10 years in prison.
