CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A few of Charlotte’s most affluent neighborhoods generated the bulk of Mecklenburg County’s priciest home sales in October.
The two most-expensive sales last month, for instance, came in Foxcroft, about six miles southeast of uptown Charlotte and a neighborhood that encompasses one of the area’s wealthiest ZIP codes (28211). The top overall sale of the month, located on Huntington Park Drive, carried a price tag of $4.2 million.
That sale price is more than double than when the estate last sold in July 2006 for $2 million, according to Mecklenburg County property records.
In addition to Foxcroft, the county’s priciest residential real estate deals last month were located in Eastover, Myers Park, Cotswold and near Lake Norman in Cornelius.
