'I knew something was wrong': Mom warns others after son nearly abducted

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A North Carolina mother is worried after a man, who wanted to snatch her son, is still on the streets.

Amanda Vos, from Cumberland County, said last weekend that her son was riding his bike when a man kept driving by and waving at him to come to his van.

Her son thought it was odd and yelled for help.

"I heard him screaming my name, and I knew something was wrong," Vos said. "So, I run out to my front porch and I see the silver van."

Vos said the man's passenger door was cracked open.

He closed the door and sped away as soon as she made eye contact with him. Investigators are now looking for the suspicious silver van.
