KINGS MOUNTAIN, N.C. — Dozens of soldiers are home safe after spending the better part of the last year in war zones. They put their lives on the line to help communities outside the United States.
A group of National Guardsmen trained and worked together in Kings Mountain, then spent 9 months in Kuwait, Iraq, and Syria.
"I love being in the Army, National Guard, but sometimes you got to sacrifice," Specialist Matthew Canham said.
