• 1 hurt in Union Co. school bus crash


    UNION COUNTY, N.C. - The North Carolina Highway Patrol was investigating a school bus accident in Union County early Tuesday morning.

    The accident happened around 6:45 a.m. on New Town Road near South Potter Road, just south of Wesley Chapel.

    Union County officials said there were students on the bus but that none of them were hurt. A person in the vehicle that collided with the bus had minor injuries and was taken to an area hospital, according to officials.

    No word yet on what school the bus was headed to.
