CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating an armed robbery that led to one person being taken into custody Saturday morning in west Charlotte.
Officials with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said they responded to a robbery call around 9 a.m. on Queen City Drive.
Authorities said someone robbed a person and stole their vehicle. The vehicle was found a short time later on Mount Holly Road near Sonoma Valley Drive, officials said.
A Channel 9 crew saw officers using a K-9 to try and track down the suspect.
CMPD officials said they have one person in custody. Channel 9 is asking police if they’ll face any charges.
No one was hurt.
