1 injured after being hit by 2 cars on N. Tryon Street

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Officials said a man is in the hospital with life-threatening injuries on Saturday night after he was hit by two cars crossing North Tryon Street near a Bojangles.

Witnesses said the victim was getting off a bus and was hit by a car, pushing the pedestrian into the path of another car that may have hit the person as well.

Eyewitness News was told that both cars did pull over.

Investigators were on the scene when it happened around 4:30 p.m. Saturday.

A witness said the victim was conscious when he left in an ambulance.

A medic said they were actually treating two patients with life-threatening injuries and transported them to Carolinas Medical Center-Main.

At this time there has been no word on whether or not charges have been filed.
