MECKLENBURG COUNTY, N.C. — April was a busy month for Mecklenburg County’s high-end home market as 11 of the most expensive residential sales recorded in the county topped $2 million.
More than half of those home sales came in an affluent area not far from Charlotte’s center city: Myers Park. That includes the overall priciest sale last month — a nearly 8,000-square-foot residence wedged between Queens Road and Queens Road West that sold mid-last month for $3.15 million.

The home, situated on a half-acre lot, was originally built in 1936 and renovated in 2005-06, according to its listing on Realtor.com. It houses six bedrooms, five full- and three half-bathrooms, a private guest suite and a finished basement.
The home had been on the market since January, listed at nearly $3.3 million. It last sold in April 2014 for $3.15 million, according to county property records.
