$15 per hour: How the federal minimum wage proposal could impact you

President Joe Biden’s administration is proposing a federal minimum wage of $15 per hour by 2025. The Congressional Budget Office says the legislation could lift about 900,000 people out of poverty.

But some people say that while the proposal may have several benefits, it could have serious consequences for business owners and customers.

Channel 9 anchor Allison Latos spoke with Paul Manley, owner of Ace Burgers at Concord Mills.

“If you have to double your baseline of what you pay people, you’re going to hire less people,” Manley said.
