2 birds stolen from Pineville store, owner says

PINEVILLE, N.C. — The owner of a store in Pineville is offering a reward for the return of two stolen birds.

The owner of Parrot University said a man and woman in their 20s spent an hour Tuesday night walking around the store. When a clerk stepped in the back, the thieves took two cockatoos and then took off, the owner said.

Police haven't made any arrests.
