2 men charged after several pounds of drugs seized from Lincoln County homes, deputies say

LINCOLN COUNTY, N.C. — Two men were charged Thursday after deputies seized several pounds of drugs from homes in Lincoln County.

Investigators searched two homes, one on Woodland Hills Trail and another on Maiden Highway, where they found the drugs.

In total, authorities seized 2.2 pounds of Heroin, 2.2 pounds of cocaine, 29 pounds of marijuana, a large amount of U.S. currency, and a large amount of pills believed to be fentanyl.

Eder Alberto Delgado, 38, was charged with trafficking heroin, trafficking marijuana, trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with the intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance.

Francisco Javier Villanueva-Salas, 32, was charged with trafficking cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, felony possession of marijuana, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Both men are being held at Harven A. Crouse Detention Center, with bail set at $1 million each.

Assisting in the drug investigation were: Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office Patrol Division and members of the DEA Task Force which includes the following agencies, Catawba County Sheriff’s Office, Gaston County Police Department, Lincolnton Police Department, Gastonia Police Department, Matthews Police Department, Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
