3 sought in Lancaster County burglary, shooting

LANCASTER COUNTY, S.C. — Deputies are searching for three men in connection with a burglary and shooting in Lancaster County.

A man was shot in his car after seeing people in his home on Kings Circle on the morning of Nov. 1, deputies said.

Deputies said Malcolm Eugene Belk, 28, Danquinton Lamar Johnson, 27, and Travis Phillip Miller, 35, are facing first-degree burglary charges, and other charges are likely.

Officers said the men should be considered armed and dangerous.

Aikieriea Okeishai Crockett, 21, was arrested in connection with the burglary. She is charged with first-degree burglary and attempted murder.

Investigators said a man was headed home from work when his roommate received a home security system alert. The man drove near his home and saw the back door of his home was open and lights were on.

Deputies said gunshots were fired at the man, and his car was struck.

The man’s injuries were not serious.

“We are glad the victim was not more seriously injured, and we wish him a speedy recovery,” Sheriff Barry Faile said. “This incident was marked by extreme violence, and we need to get Belk, Johnson and Miller into custody as soon as possible. I encourage anyone with any information on their location or this incident to contact us.”
