5 more flu deaths reported in NC

RALEIGH, N.C. — Five new flu-related deaths have been reported in North Carolina.

According to the State Department of Health and Human Services, 91 people have now died from influenza since the season began in October.
 
A year ago, 59 people died from flu-related symptoms during the six-month flu season, and of those deaths, 36 of them were adults ages 65 or older.
 
And nobody under 18 died from the flu.
