5-year-old girl dies in Lancaster Co. crash

LANCASTER COUNTY — A deadly crash in Lancaster County took the life of a 5-year-old girl.

Officials said the accident happened on Green Road around 10 p.m. Friday. The South Carolina Highway Patrol said it happened just off of Great Falls Highway.

The 5-year-old, who was wearing a seatbelt, was airlifted to Carolinas Medical Center where she was later pronounced dead.

Two others were airlifted to Palmetto Health in Richland, South Carolina. There is no update on their conditions.

A fourth passenger was uninjured.

Police said the driver was not wearing her seatbelt.
