CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A woman said she paid the same company to fix her refrigerator as many as six times, and it still doesn't work.

Now she said she can't even get ahold of them.

Cindy Soliday pulled her refrigerator away from the wall to show what she had to resort to after a technician botched a condenser fan repair.

"See back behind here, we have our own fan running," said Soliday.

It is an ordinary fan that Soliday plugged in to keep the motor from overheating and ruining her goods.

She blames Select Appliance and TV Repair, which charged her $847 for repeated visits.

"We have had Select Appliance come out, I want to say, as many as six times. They have replaced three different parts on the refrigerator, and it is still not working," said Soliday.

She said during one of the visits, the technician wrote on the receipt he had installed a wrong part.

"Right here it says main board, the wrong one, wrong board," Soliday.

She said the technician promised the company would give her a $150 refund, but she never got it.

Now, Select Appliance does not answer its phone.

Action 9 went to its Gastonia address and found out that the business had moved.

A nearby business owner helped WSOC-TV track down the new location.

A news crew went there, but the door was locked and chained.

The Better Business Bureau said that it had recently talked to the owner, who had promised to clean up his 10 complaints.

After that, Select's manager said the company would give Soliday a $300 refund and fix the refrigerator.

Soliday is happy but said she has learned to do her homework.

"I wish I had done more research on the company," said Soliday.
