American Airlines to launch new flights at CLT

CHARLOTTE — American Airlines this spring will add more options at Charlotte Douglas International Airport for travelers headed to the state of Louisiana as well as bring back seasonal service to Bermuda.

The Fort Worth, Texas-based carrier on April 2 is launching nonstop flights from CLT to two cities in that state: Lafayette and Alexandria, said spokesman Andrew Trull. American Airlines currently has nonstop flights from Charlotte Douglas to Louisiana’s three largest cities — New Orleans, Baton Rouge and Shreveport.
