CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A social media post regarding the welfare of three dogs at a business on West Boulevard in Charlotte went viral.
“The one dog I saw was clearly malnourished,” the post read. “It was trying to walk and kept collapsing.”
Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Animal Care & Control Division issued a statement in response to the flood of inquiries.
"An enforcement supervisor and investigative officer went out this morning to speak with the owner and evaluate the dogs and their housing conditions,” CMPD officials said. “All legal requirements for food, water and shelter are met and the dogs are in acceptable condition at this time given their advanced age."
