Apartments, townhomes and commercial space planned for Mooresville site

IREDELL COUNTY, N.C. — It seems that a notable Charlotte developer is targeting Mooresville for a significant project.

Tomorrow, the Mooresville Planning Board will consider a rezoning request from The Spectrum Cos. for a 34.8-acre site at 990 River Highway. Town documents show the developer is proposing a project with nearly 350 multifamily units and 25,500 square feet of commercial space at the site, which is near the waterfront of Lake Norman.

Site plans available in town records show the project calls for 295 apartments and 47 townhomes.
