App State sees much lower COVID-19 cases

BOONE, N.C. — Appalachian State University has seen a decline in COVID-19 cases. The average daily case number is the lowest it has been in a month. There were 200 students who contracted the virus, and now there is less than 24.

School officials are still urging caution.

The university has been working on limiting cases and urge caution.

There have not been too many in-person classes.

“So, my classes were switched online,” student Dessniahh Evans said. “I only have one class now that’s in person.”
