STATESVILLE, N.C. — Statesville police have charged three more people in connection with the 2017 murder of Darwin "D.J." Turner Jr.

Investigators said they arrested 26-year-old Deonte Clark, 23-year-old Martevis Simpson and 26-year-old Joshua Sylvester Tuesday without incident.
All three suspects were taken to Iredell County Jail and served outstanding warrants for accessory after the fact in connection with D.J.'s murder.

Back in August, police arrested Tony Young after over a year of searching for him on suspicion of shooting and killing Turner.

Young was charged with first-degree murder.
Turner had been missing in March of last year when crews found his body buried in the woods off Mahagony Road.
An autopsy revealed he was shot to death.
