Atlanta chef changes plans for his south Charlotte restaurant

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Award-winning chef Ford Fry won’t bring a new concept to south Charlotte after all.

Instead, Fry has decided to open a second location of his Tex-Mex concept Superica in the Strawberry Hill development.

That replaces plans to bring another concept, called The El Felix, to town.

“Superica just feels right for Charlotte. It’s fun, and speaks to an in-town, neighborhood feel,” Fry says.
