LENOIR, N.C. — Officers arrested a man six years after they said he caused a deadly crash in Lenoir.
Officers near Charleston, South Carolina made the arrest after Lenoir police got a tip.
Neal Audet is accused of driving under the influence when the crash happened in 2013 on Zacks Fork Road.
Brian Carroll was killed in the wreck.
Audet was airlifted to a hospital after the crash. By the time he was indicted by a grand jury, he had left the area.
It wasn’t until last week that police got a tip and found him living in Berkley County, South Carolina where he was arrested.
He was charged with DWI and aggravated death by motor vehicle.
