Baby rushed to CMC after near drowning in south Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A baby was rushed to Carolinas Medical Center Sunday after nearly drowning at a south Charlotte apartment complex, according to police.

Paramedics took the child to CMC with life-threatening injuries after the near drowning.

The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said when Medic arrived on the scene, the baby was breathing.

The near drowning occurred in the Waterford Lakes Apartment complex off of South Boulevard.
