Block of condos in renovated South End factory hits market at $12.9M

CHARLOTTE — A Charlotte-based author is selling 13 live-work condos in a historic, renovated South End factory used to operate his business for the past two decades. The property, for sale at $12.9 million, is currently Charlotte’s most expensive listing in Canopy MLS.

Jeffrey Gitomer and wife Jen are selling those units in Factory South as they plan to downsize in Charlotte and split time between here and their home in South Carolina, said listing broker Hanes Walker of Premier Sotheby’s International Realty. Gitomer, also a sales trainer and motivational speaker, is a best-selling author whose works include “Little Red Book of Selling” and “The Sales Bible.”

“This rare offering presents an ideal opportunity for a relocating business and its principals or those seeking a live-work environment,” said Walker, noting the property’s location, flexible layout and unique history would resonate with a discerning buyer.
