Brewery, other new tenants headed to Camp North End

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A second location for a local craft brewery reportedly is the latest tenant headed to the massive Camp North End redevelopment that’s coming together near uptown. Free Range Brewing plans to open an outpost there this summer, according to a news release from ATCO Properties & Management. It’s one of four tenants recently signed at the project, the developer says.

The 1,544-square-foot taproom at 301 Camp Road will serve up the brewery’s signature offerings, with a focus on local sourcing and small batches. Free Range opened its original location in the nearby NoDa neighborhood in 2015.

ATCO is spearheading the redevelopment of some 1.3 million square feet of former warehouse space just north of uptown. It’s one of several high-profile, adaptive-reuse projects underway across the Queen City right now.
