A brother and sister have been charged with animal cruelty, accused of running a puppy mill in Rutherford County.
Police said Barbara Upchurch and Dean Upchurch kept 52 dogs on Ferry Road.
Channel 9 was there last week when animal control officers seized the animals.

The Humane Society of Charlotte is caring for the dogs.
On Friday officials told Channel 9 many of the dogs will go to foster homes while they recover from medical issues.
Others will be placed up for adoption.
