• Car crashes into brick wall in front of retirement community

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Police were investigating a bad wreck in south Charlotte early Monday morning.

    According to police, two cars collided in the southbound lanes of Park Road near South Meck High School around 7:40 a.m.

    One of the cars then crashed into a brick wall in front of the Southminster retirement community.

    There was no immediate word on injuries. Drivers should expect traffic delays in the area.
