Car crashes down embankment at Gastonia park

GASTONIA — The Gastonia Fire Department responded to an accident in the 600 block of East Garrison at Lineberger Park at 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

One person was in the vehicle at the time of the wreck, and no other vehicles were involved in the incident.

The driver was taken to Caromont Regional Medical Center for observation.

The Gastonia Police Department is investigating the incident.
