• Car pins person against Central Ave. shopping center

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A team of firefighters raced to help a person who was pinned between a building and a car at about 6 p.m. Thursday.
     
    Emergency officials said the victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
     
    The car hit the person on the sidewalk of a shopping center on Central Avenue in east Charlotte.
