The bus from Shamrock Gardens Elementary School blew through the red light at East Independence Boulevard (Highway 74) and Sam Newell Road.
“In fact, the vehicle in front of me had to put on his brakes because he was starting to roll and, had he not been paying attention, he would have probably ran into the bus,” said Cole Regan, who provided Channel 9 with the dashcam video.

One student was on the bus at the time.
“It’s unacceptable. It really is,” Regan said.
CMS said it couldn’t comment on the driver’s past because it said it was a personnel matter.
