• Cause under investigation in Gaston Co. house fire


    GASTON COUNTY, N.C. - A fire tore through a Gaston County home Friday afternoon.

    Chopper 9 Skyzoom flew over the house on West Louisiana Avenue.

    Firefighters said when they arrived around 4:30 p.m., smoke and flames were shooting through the roof.

    They extinguished the fire in 15 minutes, but the home was a total loss.

    No one was hurt.

    Investigators aren't sure yet what started the fire.
