CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The longtime owner and developer of Whitehall Corporate Park in southwest Charlotte seeks to allow solely apartments on part of a site previously pegged for mixed-use development near Interstate 485 and West Arrowood Road.
American Asset Corp. filed a rezoning petition last year to allow up to 352 apartments, 308 hotel rooms and 20,000 square feet of commercial space on a portion of a 60-acre site it owns at 3211 W. Arrowood Road.
But AAC says they have so far been unable to bring an office tenant to the site, prompting an amendment to the plan.
