• Channel 9's Steve's Coats for Kids has a record year for donations

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The 10th anniversary of WSOC-TV Channel 9’s Steve’s Coats for Kids was a record setting year resulting in 16,583 coat donations over the 9-day campaign.

    “For 10 years we have asked our viewers to donate and they have yet again answered the call. The generosity of Charlotteans is one of the biggest reasons I love calling Charlotte home,” said Channel 9 Chief Meteorologist Steve Udelson.

    Udelson has been heading up this community campaign at Channel 9 since inception.
