Charlotte-Douglas airport to release tips for summer travel season

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte-Douglas International Airport officials will release its best tips for the busy summer travel season on Monday.

Transportation Security Administration officials said it could be a record-breaking summer with more than 240 million passengers expected to go through security.

Two years ago, the TSA faced a wait-time crisis with passengers waiting hours in security lines.

TSA officials said last week they are using better technology, including 3D scanners, to safely move people through the lines.
