An 11-year-old girl was reported missing Friday after Zachary Richard Gibson, 28, reportedly picked the child up.
Officers said they found her at Gibson’s home on Pritchard Street in northwest Charlotte. The child said Gibson sexually assaulted her.
Gibson was also charged with felonious restraint, possession of a weapon of a sawed-off shotgun statutory rape and statutory sex offense.
Gibson asked for a lower bond in court Tuesday. His request was denied.
Gibson also said his family was trying to hire an attorney for him.
