• Cherryville Police Chief resigns, effective Wednesday

    CHERRYVILLE, N.C. - Cherryville Police Chief Woody Burgess handed in a letter of resignation on Monday and will fill out retirement paperwork in the coming days.

    The resignation will be put into effect on Wednesday.

    Cam Genks is the interim chief.
