CLAREMONT, N.C. — A 12-year-old boy was struck by a car Saturday evening in Catawba County.
The boy was airlifted to the hospital and is in critical condition after getting hit on Bunker Hill School Road in Claremont, troopers said.
Officials said the driver of the car will not be charged.
Troopers said the child ran in front of the car and the driver didn't see him.
