Police found Ronald Hoover, 37, suffering from a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.

Minutes later, officers received another call that a second victim arrived at Presbyterian Hospital.

He was also shot but is expected to be OK.

A third man victim arrived at Carolinas Medical Center-Mercy also suffering from gunshot wounds.

    He is expected to survive.

Police believe all three shootings are connected, and they scoured the neighborhood talking to possible witnesses and searching for clues.

Some people said the area is no stranger to violence.

“I have family members that can't even come to my house. I stay in Southside. They don't even hardly come to visit me like they used to," said Wanda Harris.

Police are asking anyone with information about the shootings to call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
