• Man dies after driving car into back of flatbed

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police investigated a fatal wreck Thursday night on Billy Graham Parkway near Westmont Drive.

    James David Brabble was driving a 2002 Chrysler Concorde east on Billy Graham Parkway in the right lane when his vehicle collided into the rear of a flatbed truck that was stopped due to heavy traffic.

    Brabble died at the scene. The driver of the flatbed is OK.

    Speed and/or alcohol do not appear to be a factor at this time.
