CHARLOTTE — Charlotte-Mecklenburg police are investigating a homicide after a shooting victim showed up at a hospital in Pineville Thursday afternoon.
Officers responded to the hospital just before 2:30 p.m. after a man, who had been shot, arrived. Police said he was taken to Atrium Main where he died from his injuries.
On Friday, police identified the victim as 25-year-old Derrick Barber.
Investigators are working to learn where the shooting happened.
No arrests have been made at this point.
