CHARLOTTE — A man has been charged with murder following a shooting on Sunday in southwest Charlotte, according to the Charlotte-Meclenburg Police Department.
Police said the shooting occurred on the 3500 block of West Tyvola Road at approximately 1:15 p.m.
Officers responded to an assist MEDIC call and found a male victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim, later identified as 28-year-old Ningmua Ayumbi Ntungwen, was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police.
A few hours after this incident, police said they were contacted by a person who said they wanted to turn themselves in.
After an interview, 28-year-old Michael Pringle was charged with murder.
Police said Pringle was transferred into the custody of the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
