CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are investigating after a man was shot in east Charlotte on Wednesday night.
Officers responded to a shots fired call near the 4500 block of Sharon Chase Drive around 11 p.m.
When they arrived, they could not locate a victim or suspect at the scene.
Neighbors said they heard gunshots, but no other information was reported at that time.
Around 2:30 a.m., a man showed up at the hospital with a gunshot wound to his leg.
Police think the victim knew his shooter, but no arrests have been made.
