CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are requesting the public’s help in identifying a man they said is responsible for an armed robbery at a Dollar General store in Charlotte.
Officials with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department said officers responded to the store located at 5200 Albemarle Road just before 6 p.m. Friday for an armed robbery call.
Officers said an employee told them that a man entered the store, took out a firearm and stole property before running away.
The robber is described as black, around 6 feet tall and 230 pounds with a beard. He is believed to be in his early 30s and was last seen wearing black clothing, officials said.
